Student Theatre Arts Representatives (S.T.A.R)

Jasper Austin (Student Representative, Student Resources)
Jasper Austin is a Massasoit theatre major in his second year and is thrilled to be a part of the Student Theatre Arts Representatives. Jasper hopes to someday be an actor, a playwright, and a human rights advocate, using theatre and art to spark social change


Nic Awalt (Student Representative, Orientation & Recruitment)
Nic Awalt is currently a student at Massasoit Community College studying theatre. Nic has had a love for theatre since their first show at age 10. After high school, Nic has been a part of four productions so far at Massasoit. Including As You Like It as Phoebe, The Laramie Project as Leigh Fondakowski (Alison Mears, Zackie Salmon, Tiffany Edwards), DIA as the roll of Nazareth, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Puck. Nic would love to thank all of those who have supported their passion and the passion of others in the arts.


Jeremy Bradley (Student Representative, Publicity)
Jeremy Bradley has been a Student at Massasoit since 2016 and recently changed to become a theatre major in order to pursue the art of storytelling and to become part of a larger community also committed to shaping a more inclusive future. Most recent contributions were Dramaturg for American Idiot (2019) at The Company Theatre in Norwell, and Francis Flute in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2018) here at Massasoit Community College.


Lassana Dorleh (Student Representative, Student Resources)
Lassana Dorleh is currently a student at Massasoit Community College, as a Theatre Arts Major. He is an active participant for both STAR and the Practical Theatre Ensemble.


Amelie Faria (Student Representative, Events)

Amelie Faria is a new student at Massasoit Community College studying theatre arts. Before Massasoit, they went to Stoughton High and joined the Stoughton drama program, where for two and a half years they were an assistant lead makeup artist and a lead dancer in musicals, such as Little Shop of Horrors and James and the Giant Peach. They enjoy doing makeup so much that one day after Massasoit they will continue on to finish getting their Associate’s and Bachelor’s in Theatre Arts and will get their aesthetician’s license to become the professional theatrical makeup artist they want to be.


Aisha Grullon (Student Representative, Publicity)
Aisha is a Theatre Arts major at Massasoit Community College just finishing up her first year. Growing up in Brockton, she participated in the Brockton High School Drama Program all four years up until her graduation. Aisha is an aspiring actress and director, with hopes to change the world through the love and impact of theatre and performance.



Azharia McRae (Student Representative, Orientation & Recruitment)

ZZ McRae is a Massasoit Alumnae and student who aspires to use the techniques she's learned from Massasoit to continue her education at Bridgewater State University to become a Spoken Word Artist and/or perform as a theatrical actress on a stage.


Jermaine Murray (Student Representative, Student Resources)
Jermaine is a Massasoit theatre major who in his free time enjoys playing/coaching basketball and reading up on new plays. He is pleased with his journey thus far in his acting career and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him. After 2019 fall semester he is seeking a four-year college where he will continue to build on what he has learned here at Massasoit. Some of his more recent roles are, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dennis Shepherd in The Laramie project, Orlando in As You Like It, and Mitch in A Street Car Named Desire. He’d like to thank Professor Corinne M. Mason, Professor Peter. A Carey and the Massasoit theatre department for instilling such great tools for him to walk away with as he continues on his acting career


Mikayla Williams (Student Representative, Secretary, Fundraising)
Mikayla Williams is a young rising theatre artist who has a tremendous love for the art of theatre. She has worked in various areas of theatre design including stage management, lighting design, and scenic design. This is Mikayla’s third year stage managing the New Works Play Festival. Mikayla began her stage management career at Massasoit Community College where she was the stage manager for the student ensemble productions of Macbeth, and The Laramie Project. She was the Assistant Stage Manager for A Raisin in the Sun (Massasoit Community College), The Trial of Madeline Gee (Massasoit Community College). Mikayla has now been able to expand her experience stage managing I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Plymouth Community Theatre), Werewolves (Manhattan Repertory Theatre), Little Princess (Artist’s From Surburbia) Les Nuls (Artist’s From Suburbia), American Idiot (The Company Theatre), and Evita (The Company Theatre). Last summer she was a production intern at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre for their summer stock shows.
