Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Technology

This program is designed to train students to perform successfully in entry-level jobs in the "Service & Installation of Heating and Air Conditioning Systems". The training will develop a solid foundation in the basic skills required to perform many entry-level tasks required of HVAC service technicians.


  • Students will have an opportunity to take courses which can lead to them becoming nationally certified in handling refrigerants.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team member with various construction trades and personnel.
  • Apply practical skills in HVAC.
  • Communicate written, verbal, and visual information as it relates to the HVAC trade.

By successfully completing a series of additional courses students who have completed this certificate will qualify for an Associate degree.

This program awards a College-Approved Certificate upon completion of 7 courses and 27 credits while maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA.
