High School Equivalency Preparation Program (GED & HiSET)

Students in Massachusetts now have the option of earning their high school equivalency through GED or HiSET.  Massasoit Community College has created a specialized High School Equivalency Preparation Program that will equip students with the skills they need to pass either GED or HiSET tests.  Our program is comprised of two courses: English & Social Studies and Math & Science.  These courses were designed to assist students that need short-term (one to two semesters) of preparation prior to taking high school equivalency exams.  This program may not be suitable for students in need of more comprehensive preparation.

In order to assess readiness for our High School Equivalency Preparation Program, free pre-assessments are required of all students. Pre-assessments are offered throughout the year on a regular basis. Students receive their assessment score immediately.  Those that pass will be provided course registration information.  Students that don't pass may be given the opportunity to take the pre-assessment again or may be referred to another local high school equivalency preparation program.

*Students will not be able to register for the High School Equivalency Preparation Program courses without taking and passing the pre-assessments.
